Detectives investigating the theft of a car during a burglary in Rothley are appealing for sightings of the vehicle since it was stolen.

The incident took place sometime between 9am on Thursday December 29, 2011 and 3pm on Sunday January 1 at a house in Kiln Garth, Rothley.

The rear door at the property was broken into and a number of items were stolen including the keys to a silver Hyundai Coupe, registration number EO57 CKJ, which was then stolen from the driveway.

Other items stolen included a 42 3D plasma television, a 32 flat screen television, a Samsung 40 LED television, a number of items of gold jewellery and electrical items.

Detective Constable Denise Reidy is investigating the incident, she said: A number of large items were stolen from the property which may have required more than one person to carry, we would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Kiln Garth area to contact us.

We are also appealing to anyone who has seen the stolen vehicle since the beginning of January either being driven or parked to contact us. Any information about the stolen property or the incident, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help with our enquiries.
