Jewellery stolen during two burglaries in the Welford Road area of Leicester
Officers from the city are appealing for public help after two burglaries at homes in Leicester.
The first incident took place sometime between 7.30am and 4.45pm on Wednesday January 18 in Wigston Lane when a house was broken into and a number of items were stolen including a Dolce & Gabbana white gold solitaire ring and a Tiffany and Co. solid silver bangle.
The bangle is about 1 1/4 which is curved in at the sides and the watch has a black face and four time markers.
The second burglary occurred in the Aberdale Road area sometime between 4.45pm and 5.30pm on Monday January 23 when a house was broken into and thousands of pounds worth of gold jewellery was stolen.
Amongst the jewellery stolen were gold bangles, bracelets, chains, rings and earrings.
PC Waheed Nagdi is investigating the incident, he said: There is nothing to suggest at this stage that these incidents are linked but we are keeping an open mind.
We would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in either the Wigston Lane or Aberdale Road areas on the days of the incidents.
We would also like to trace the whereabouts of the stolen items and would urge anyone who has come across any of the jewellery to contact us.
Anyone with any information about the incidents are asked to contact PC 2851 Waheed Nagdi on 101*, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 2851. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free** and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
* Calls to 101 cost 15p for the entire call from both mobile phones and land lines
