Hard drive containing family photos stolen during a burglary in Leicester
Officers from the city are appealing for public help after a hard drive containing thousands of family photos was stolen during a burglary in Leicester.
The incident took place sometime between 9am and 12pm on Tuesday November 29 in Petworth Drive when a house was broken into and items were stolen.
Amongst the items stolen was a black Seagate portable hard drive which contained a number of photos of the victims family including his children.
A white Apple iPod, a sterling silver necklace with a silver and jade pendant, a gold chain, a silver locket and chain and dark blue Ted Baker spectacles were also stolen during the incident.
PC Steve Kilsby is investigating the incident, he said: The victim is very keen to get the hard drive back as the photos on it are of great sentimental value to him and cant be replaced.
He is offering a reward for any information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible and the return of the stolen property.
If you know anything about the stolen items then please get in touch, the hard drive may have been discarded in the area or someone may have attempted to sell it on, if this rings any bells with you then please contact us. The smallest detail could lead us to the stolen property and the person responsible.
