Police are appealing to trace the owner of a vehicle damaged in Mountsorrel.

The incident happened sometime between 12.05am and 12.10am on Tuesday August 9, 2011 when three vehicles on Leicester Road were damaged.

These were a blue Subara which received a dent to its side, a silver Toyota Yaris which had the glass in its wing mirror cracked and a silver Renault Clio which received damage to its passenger side wing mirror.

Police are still trying to trace the owner of a silver Renault Clio and would like to appeal to the owner to please contact police.

Two men aged 20 and a 24-year-old man have been arrested in connection with these incidents and are currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

PC Ian Mundy, the investigating officer, said: We do not believe that the owner of the Clio has been in touch to report this damage to us. It may that they have not realised or did not think it was important to contact police. We would like to appeal to them to please contact us or alternatively anyone who thinks they may know who the owner is.

We are also still keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused. It is not too late to contact police with any information you have.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2995 Ian Mundy on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 2995. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
