Road users are being warned to expect congestion in the Aylestone area of Leicester on bank holiday Monday (August 29), as the Indian cricket team play Leicestershire at Grace Road.

The t20 game starts at 2.30pm, and heavy traffic is expected before and after.

Those not going to the game are advised to avoid the area on Monday afternoon if possible, or to expect delays.

Those intending to go to the game are advised only to travel if they have a valid ticket the game is an all-ticket event and has been sold out.

Fans should be aware that there is limited paid parking at Nationwide Fast Fit (the former Planet Bikes premises on Aylestone Road). Parking restrictions in roads close to the ground will be enforced strictly.

Fans should consider using public transport to the ground, or sharing transport and allowing extra time for their journeys.

There will be no public access to a practice session on Sunday August 28.

There will be extra police officers in the area to enforce the parking restrictions, and to deter thefts from vehicles.
