A 27 year old man from Enderby has been sentenced to 4 years in prison after being convicted of supplying cocaine.

Dale Bacon of Shortridge Lane, Enderby appeared at Leicester Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday July 19) where he pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine but was found guilty of supplying cocaine.

He was arrested in November 2010 when a drugs warrant was executed at the address.

Over ten thousand pounds worth of cocaine was seized along with scales, dealer bags and mixing powders.

PC 4282 Julie Watkins, beat officer for Enderby said; A lot of time and resources went into gathering intelligence and evidence for a court drugs warrant to be issued and executed.

The fact thatthese drugs were seized has stopped them working their way on to the street and I hope this result reassures the people of Enderby.

This has been a long investigation but no matter how long it takes I would like to reassure the people of Enderby that drugs wont be tolerated and the beat team will actively seek drug dealers to keep them off of the streets.

Todays result was an unexpectedly high sentence and a great result.
