Treat your dad for free at Bosworth Battlefield!

Treat your dad to a fun day out at Bosworth Battlefields award winning exhibition this Fathers Day (Sunday 19th June). See what he would look like as a medieval soldier in the dressing up area or challenge him to an archery competition on the interactive longbow.

(Entry to the exhibition is free for dads when a childs [under 16] exhibition ticket is purchased)

The interactive exhibition at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, which showcases the story of the historic battle of 1485, attracts people from around the globe and is home to the largest collection of 15th century cannonballs in Europe.

There will be plenty to do at the famous battlefield on Fathers Day for all members of the family including the chance to go on a 2km (1.25m) guided walk at 11am, exploring the famous Battle of Bosworth. (Dads go free when a childs ticket [under 16] is purchased) and Hands on Hawks with sessions at 11.15am and 2.15pm (extra charges apply). A range of craft stalls at Bosworths Spring Craft Fayre will offer a selection of gifts from handmade wooden items to jewellery, glassware, books, and home made sweets. The event is free to attend although a small charge will apply for car parking.

There are lots of events and activities to celebrate Fathers Day at many of Leicestershire County Councils museums and libraries including the chance to make the best paper aeroplane at Harborough Museum and using multi-media to make something crafty for dad at Charnwood Museum. Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre has successfully secured a place in the semi finals of The National Lottery Awards. Members of the public now have their chance to vote for the flagship visitor attraction ahead of the finals being announced later this summer.
