Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Leicester.

The incident happened between 12.20am and 12.30am on Friday, May 6.

The 23-year-old victim was walking along Eastern Boulevard when he was approached by a group of men who assaulted him, before taking his black Jack Jones jacket and dark brown leather satchel style bag containing a black Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 laptop and a wallet.

The victim received a bump to the head, bruising to the ribs, cuts and scratches to both arms.

The first suspect is described as black, around 510 tall between 20 and 24-years-old and of medium build. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, black Nike Air Max trainers with white laces and is described as being rugged looking with a goatee beard. He had a round face with a slit, or possible scar through his right eyebrow.

The second suspect is described as black, around 510 tall and between 20 and 24-years-old. He is described as having a slightly long face with a sharp chin, wide nose and being slightly cross eyed. He was wearing a dark hooded top with a gold print on the front, with the hood up dark tracksuit bottoms.

The third suspect is described as Asian, around 6 tall, of skinny build and between 20 and 24-years-old. He had a beard along his jaw line and was wearing a black t-shirt with the writing star in the hood in white across the front. He also had a black beanie style hat, dark trouser and black trainers and was wearing a silver chain around his neck and a white watch on his right wrist.

The fourth suspect is described as 510 tall, of medium build and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, black jacket over the hooded top and grey joggers.

Detective Constable Balvinder Mahal, who is investigating the incident said: I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to think back. Did you see a group of men matching this description? Did you see where you went next?
