17-year-old victim robbed of phone in Glenfield
Officers are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old victim was robbed in Glenfield.
The robbery happened at around 6pm on Monday March 21, 2011 on Liberty Road near to its junction with Triumph Road.
The victim had been on the number 12 First bus from the city centre with a friend. He noticed three youths sitting nearby on the bus.
He got off the bus at Liberty Road near to the junction with Dominion Road as did the three youths. As he neared the junction with Triumph Road, the three youths then stopped him and asked him to empty his pockets before threatening him with what has been described as a knife.
The victim handed over his iPhone 4 and the three suspects ran along Triumph Road.
The first suspect is described as black, between 16 to 17-years-old, around 5 9 tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black zip-up jacket with a white shirt, black trousers, black trainers and a black beanie hat. He had an Adidas bag.
The second suspect is described as black, between 16 and 17-years-old, between 59 and 510 tall and of slim build. He had short black afro hair and was wearing a dark grey Adidas zip-up hooded top, dark blue jeans and white Adidas trainers with green or yellow laces.
The third suspect is described as black, between 18 and 20-years-old, around 62 tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers and brown trainers. He also had large white headphones.
Detective Constable Nick Robbins, who is investigating this incident, said: "This victim has obviously been left quite shaken by this incident and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed the robbery to get in touch.
"Any information you can give us, no matter how small it may seem, could prove vital to the investigation.
