Abbey Neighbourhood Sergeant, Michelle Zakoscielny, said: The local neighbourhood teams at Beaumont Leys Local Policing Unit would urge members of the community to continue informing Leicestershire Constabulary if they have any information about drug use in the local area. As you can see we will always act on information and we have had a very successful week.
If people do not feel comfortable passing information directly to the police we would urge them to contact Crimestoppers as this can be done anonymously and we will always act on information received.
We would also like to thank the members of the community who have passed us information to help us to reduce illegal activities associated with drug use and the anti-social behaviour that often occurs as a side effect of this.
Anyone with information is asked to call Leicester 0116 222 2222 or Crimestoppers which is *free and anonymous on 0800 555 111. Information from the community is vital in helping Leicestershire Constabulary in the fight against crime.
