Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of some charity bags in Narborough.

The incident happened on Camelot Way, on Tuesday, February 22 when a member of the public left the bags outside her property to be collected by Rainbows Hospice for Children.

At around 8.45am a white van pulled up outside the address and a man put the four bags, which contained clothing, toys, books and games, into the van.

A while later, a van with the Rainbows logo on drove down the street.

The suspect is described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, around 6 tall, proportionate build with brown hair.

PC Ady Lloyd, who is investigating the incident said: I would ask people to cast their mind back a couple of days to see if they can recall seeing this incident take place. It is also possible that this suspect picked bags up from other streets in the area and I would ask anyone who saw this happening to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 1194 Ady Lloyd on 0116 222 2222 and follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer. When prompted key in his identification number 1194. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
