18-year-old man robbed on Humberstone Road
Police are trying to trace two witnesses who they believe could help them with their enquiries into a robbery.
The incident happened at around 9.45pm on Sunday, February 13 in Humberstone Road. As the 18-year-old victim was walking past Shoe Zone he was grabbed from behind by two men who took him to a car park, near to Haramead Business Park.
He was then assaulted and had his digital camera, a silver and black HD Flip, taken.
The first suspect is described as white, around 18-years-old and around 59 tall. He was of medium build, had short dark hair and was wearing a black hooded top, black and blue tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers. He is described as speaking good English but with a foreign accent.
The second suspect is described as white, around 18-years-old and of medium build with dark hair. He is described as having a rounder face than the first suspect and was wearing a black hooded top.
PC Ed White, who is investigating the incident said: We know there were other people in the area at the time of the incident, specifically a silver Citroen Picasso, which drove past while the incident was occurring.
This vehicle turned left from Humberstone Road into the business park.
There was also a man wearing white trousers and a dark jacket walking in the area.
I am particularly keen to hear from these people as they could have vital information which could help with our enquiry.
I would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the area and saw people hanging around or acting suspiciously.
Although the victim was not seriously injured in the incident, he was left shaken.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 1738 Ed White on 0116 222 2222 and follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer. When prompted key in his identification number 1738. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
