Police are appealing for witnesses after a bicycle was stolen from a park in Thurmaston.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Friday January 28, 2011 when the victim, a 13-year-old boy, was playing with football with friends at Elizabeth Park on Checkland Road.

They were met by three other boys, one who was on a red BMX bike, who joined in the game with them. When the ball was kicked out of play, one of the boys jumped on the victims bike and rode off with the other two boys.

The bike stolen was described as a black Norco, with a grey paddle saddle and under the seat is the shape of a woman.

The boys who stole the bike are described as Asian and 13 to 14-years-old. One was wearing a pink and black woolly hat.

A reward has been offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible and the return of the bike.

PC Revinder Gerwal, the officer investigating the incident, said: We are appealing to the public for their help in retrieving the bicycle and finding who has taken it.
