Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Heather.

The burglary happened between 11am and 4.15pm on Saturday January 29, 2011 when a back window of a property on Mill Lane was smashed.

A search of the property was made and stolen from the property was a quantity of jewellery and a leather bag containing cash and cards.

The jewellery consisted of an Art Noveau pendant with inset aqua marine and perrydoe stones on a gold necklace, a gold belcher chain with 'T' bar pendant, a three colour gold gate bracelet, a gold bangle, several sets of earrings and a silver locket.

Detective Constable James Harrisonwho is investigating this incident, said: This was clearly very distressing for the victims to discover this on their return home.

I would appeal for anyone that was in the area around these times that might have seen someone acting suspicious or maybe a vehicle not using seen at the location to please contact us as soon as they can.

Alternatively if you have been approached by someone selling similar items at a cheap price, please contact police.
