Number of cars damaged in Shepshed
Officers from Loughborough local policing unit are appealing for witnesses after a number of cars were damaged in Shepshed.
The first incident took place sometime between 9pm on Friday September 17 and 8.30am on Saturday September 18 in Loughborough Road, Shepshed when offensive words and drawings were scratched on to a car.
Sometime between 2.30pm on Thursday September 23 and 11am on Saturday September 25 three cars were damaged in Forest Street, Manor Garden and Lambert Avenue, Shepshed. During the incidents in Lambert Avenue and Manor Gardens offensive words were scratched on to the vehicles.
PC Richard Neville is one of the officers investigating the incidents, he said: At this stage we are looking at all the incidents and keeping an open mind as to whether they are linked or not.
If you were in the areas mentioned in the last week and you witnessed the incidents or saw someone acting suspiciously, then I would urge you to contact the police. I would also like to appeal to anyone whose vehicle may have been damaged and hasnt been reported to the police to contact us.
