Man robbed on Victoria Park Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery on Victoria Park Road.

The incident happened at around 12.30am on Thursday March 26, 2009 as the 25-year-old man was walking towards London Road.

He was suddenly pushed over from behind by two men.

Whilst on the ground, his black Sony TZ11XB laptop, he was carrying was taken from him and the men asked what else he had.

The victim handed over his IPhone and the men ran off with the property towards Victoria Park.

He was not injured during the incident.

The first man is described as white, in his late twenties, of medium build and around 5'8" tall. He was wearing a navy hooded top and jeans which were torn at the ankles. He had facial stubble, spoke with a deep voice and smelt of alcohol.

The second man is described as white, in his late twenties, of medium build and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a dark grey hooded top and jeans. He also had facial stubble.

Detective Constable Thomas Longden, who is investigating this incident, said: "We're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or who saw two men matching the descriptions in the area early last Thursday morning.

"Did you see the suspects? Perhaps you were on Victoria Park Road and remember seeing two people running from the scene? If so please get in touch."
