Quad bikes stolen from garage in West Langton

Police are appealing for witnesses after two quad bikes and a motorcross bike were stolen during a burglary in West Langton.

The burglary happened between 5.30pm on Sunday March 1 and 9.30am on Monday March 2, 2009, when a garage was broken into at a house on West Langton Road near to the junction with Melton Road and three vehicles were stolen.

The first is a Rapter, quad bike. It is a 2005 150cc model and is mustard in colour.

The second is s a Z1 Traffic Jammer quad bike. It is an 80cc model and red in colour.

The third is a Kawasaki motorcross off-road trails bike. It is a 1995 25KX model and is green in colour.

PC Claire Murray, from Harborough local policing unit said: "Do you know someone who has recently acquired similar bikes or have you been approached by someone selling bikes matching these descriptions? If you know the current whereabouts of these bikes, we'd urge you to get in touch.

"I am also appealing to anyone who may have seen someone loading bikes onto a vehicle or anyone acting suspiciously in the area during these times to contact us.

Anyone with any information about the incident or the stolen property is asked to contact PC 4445 Claire Murray on (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4445. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
