Damage to windows in Beaumont Leys

Police are appealing for witnesses following damage to windows at an address on Potterton Road in Beaumont Leys.

The first incident happened at about 2.30pm on Thursday February 19, 2009 when a small double-glazed window at the front of the property was smashed. The second incident happened at 9pm when a ground floor double-glazed window at the back of the house was also damaged.

PC Mari Hughes, who is investigating the incident, said: "Did you witness either of these incidents? The first one happened in the middle of the afternoon at the front of the property.

"Think back, did you see anything suspicious or anybody running away from the Potterton Road area? I would urge anybody with any information about this incident to contact the police or Crimestoppers, which can be done anonymously."

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to contact PC 4607 Mari Hughes on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4607.
