Distinctive bike stolen from shed on Marlow Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a distinctive bike was stolen from a shed.

The incident happened between 11pm on Sunday January 25 and 3.10pm on Monday January 26 when a shed at a property on Marlow Road was broken into.

Stolen was a custom built men's mountain bike. The Cove Hummer frame is made of titanium and has cross max wheels with one red spoke.

Also stolen from the shed was a men's Giant TCR Hybrid racing bike and various pieces of sports equipment.

PC Gemma Golding, who is investigating this incident, said: "Do you know someone who has recently acquired a similar bike or have you been approached by someone selling bike matching this description? If you know the current whereabouts of this bike, we'd urge you to get in touch.

"If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area during these times or have been approached by someone selling items matching these stolen in suspicious circumstances please contact us."

Anyone with any information about the incident or the stolen property is asked to contact PC 4457 Gemma Golding on (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4457.
