Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in Northfields.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Sunday, October 26 at the junction of Bale Road and Carpe Road when the 28-year-old victim was approached by two men.
The victim was threatened by the men and asked to hand over his mobile phone. He was then assaulted on the head.
As he ran away a third man, in a white van, ran over his leg, before speeding away. Nothing was taken in the incident.
The victim was treated for injuries his leg at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The first suspect is described as black, around 5'9" tall and in his early to mid 20s. He had short Afro hair and a small beard under his lower lip. He was wearing a brown leather jacket.
The second suspect is described as black, between 6'1" and 6'2" tall and was in his early to mid 20s. He was wearing a dark parker-style jacket with the hood over his face.
The third suspect, who was driving a small white Escort-type van, is described as dual heritage, in his mid 20s and possibly wearing glasses.
Detective Constable Adam Whordley, who is investigating the incident, said "Since the incident happened we have followed up a number of lines of enquiries.
"We would like to appeal to anyone who lives in this area of the city, or who was in the area on October 26 to think back. Did you see men matching this description? Did you see a white van like the one described? We are keen to hear from anyone with any information at all. It could help us with our enquiries."
