Police are appealing for information following recurring incidents of damage caused to vehicles driving along Lubbesthorpe Way and Braunstone Way in Braunstone.
In recent months at least 13 incidents have been reported when stones, bricks and other objects have been thrown from the top of the Braunstone Lane Bridge and from the side of road at vehicles travelling in both directions along Lubbesthorpe and Braunstone Way.
During one of the incidents four to five white youths where seen standing on the bridge. During another incident a youth was seen throwing stones at vehicles. He is described as white, about 12 years-old, with very short, mousy blonde hair and wearing black clothing.
PCSO Lewis Dedmen-Ert, who is investigating these incidents said: "We're appealing for anyone who may have any information about these incidents or has seen any suspicious activity near to the Braunstone Lane Bridge.
"I would ask people to be vigilant when driving in this area and urge them to contact police with any information they have. I would also highlight the obvious dangers of throwing objects at moving vehicles and urge anybody doing this to stop."
