Information on Leicestershire

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault on Waterloo Way, Leicester.

This incident happened at 8pm on Wednesday September 3 2008 when the victim, 41 was approached by two men walking towards New Walk and one of them hit him in the face.

The two suspects are described as being around 18-years old. One of them was black, of stocky build, around 6ft tall with afro style hair.   The other suspect was white,  of slim build with ginger hair and a spotty face, he was wearing a white hooded top and white trousers.

PC Gemma Golding, who is investigating this incident said: "We would like anybody who noticed the two men matching this description.  At the time the incident took place we know that people would have been in the Waterloo Way and New Walk area.

"We would urge anybody with any information to contact the police as soon as possible to help with this investigation."
