Burglary at a house in Anstey Lane

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in Anstey Lane.

The incident happened on Friday June 13 between 10.15pm and 11.10pm when the 52-year-old victim discovered entry had been gained to her property via the rear of the house.

A dark faced silver Gucci watch worth an estimated 450 and an oblong faced Armani watch with a brown crocodile strap worth around 99 were both taken.

PC Mari-Louise Hughes, who is investigating the incident, said: "The victim has been left upset by the incident. Anstey Lane is a busy residential area and it could be that someone has information which would help with our enquiry.

"We would urge people to think back to that Friday night. Were you in the area? Did you see anything suspicious? If so we want to hear from you.

"Any information you have no matter how small it may seem could help us with our enquiry so we would ask you to contact us."
