Roadworks w/c 8th June

New work starting this week:

- Soar Valley Way: camera work. Lane restrictions around Lutterworth Road junction with possible delays on Sunday (8th) only.

- Oxford Street: major junction improvements. Overnight closure on Oxford Street and Newark Street from 11pm to 6am on Monday (9th) and from 9pm-6am on Tuesday (10th). Diversions along St Nicholas Circle.

- Braunstone Way: bridge works. 24-hour lane closures from Hinckley Road island, with 2-way traffic maintained, from Sunday (8th).

- St Stephens Road: cabling works. Temporary signals in use during working hours opposite Medway School on Sunday (8th) only.

- St Peters Lane: building works. Road closed between Freeschool Lane and Vaughan Way, also one-way order suspended, from 6am-6pm on Sunday (8th). Fourth of nine Sunday closures.

- Southgates underpass: major junction improvements. NORTHBOUND carriageway and slip road closed overnight, between 9pm to 6am, from Wednesday (11th). Diversions in place.

- Southgates underpass: major junction improvements. SOUTHBOUND carriageway and slip road closed OVERNIGHT for three nights. Friday night (6th) 20:00hrs - 08:00 Saturday (7th); Saturday night (7th) 20:00hrs 09:00hrs Sunday (8th); Sunday night (8th) 20:00hrs 06:00hrs Monday (9th). Please note lane restrictions also apply from 8am-8pm Sunday (8th). Diversions in place.

- Western Boulevard: Riverside Festival. Road closed between Mill Lane and Tarragon Road and restrictions on Tarragon Road from 8am Saturday (7th) until 7pm Sunday (8th).

On-going work:

- Causeway Lane: new storm sewer works. 24-hour lane restrictions, as required.

- Hastings Road: cabling works. Restrictions as required.

- Humberstone Road: gas main works. Inbound lane restrictions at Nedham Street junction.

- Loseby Lane: carriageway and footway resurfacing works. Road closed between Silver Street and St. Martins.

- Granby Street: city centre improvement works. Road closed between Bishop Street and Halford Street, with various changes to restrictions in the area. Diversions in place.

- Gipsy Lane: water main works. Various minor road closures as required in the area.

- Bath Lane: carriageway works. Road closed between Welles Street and St. Augustines Road.

- Upperton Road: rebuilding viaduct works. Lane closures and restrictions on and around Upperton Road and Swan Bridge, as required.

- Oxford Street: major junction improvement works. Various restrictions including on Newarke Street, Southgates Underpass and in The Magazine area.

- Yarmouth Street: Thames Tower refurbishment works. Various restrictions as required, including on Thames Street and Navigation Street.

- Shires development: work at Freeschool Lane and Causeway Lane. Road closures as required on Freeschool Lane, Long Lane, Highcross Street and Shires Lane; and from Causeway Lane, one-way towards Vaughan Way from East Bond Street, and East Bond Street towards Causeway Lane. Diversions in place.

Please note that emergency situations may require work schedules to be changed at short notice.
