Appeal after man assaulted and robbed

Detectives are appealing for information after a 31-year-old man was assaulted and robbed.
The incident took place between 6pm and 6.15pm on Friday May 23, 2008 as the victim was driving his silver people carrier along Nicklaus Road.
When he approached Gleneagles Avenue, a black Audi A3 or similar car which had been travelling behind him suddenly overtook his vehicle and pulled up in front of him causing him to stop.
The driver and three passengers got out of the car and pulled the victim from his vehicle forcing him into the back seat of their car before driving off towards the direction of Soar Valley College.
The men drove the victim around the Barkby Thorpe and Scraptoft areas for around two hours during which time he was assaulted. His money and mobile phone were stolen in the incident.
He was let out of the vehicle between around 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Whitehall Road. The men drove off turning left onto Goodwood Road towards Evington.
The victim received minor injuries for which he did not seek hospital treatment.
Two of the suspects have been described as being of Afro-Caribbean appearance. One is described as around 6ft tall and between 24 and 25-years-old. He had short dark hair and was wearing a red t-shirt and black jeans.
The second is described as around 6ft tall and of slim build. He was between 21 and 25-years-old and was wearing a dark blue Nike hooded tracksuit.
The third man, who was driving the car, is described as being of Asian appearance. He is around 25-years-old with a young looking face and is about 5'4" tall.
The fourth man is described as being of dual heritage appearance and of a large build. He is described as around 30-years-old and around 5'6" tall. He was wearing a white long sleeved top and black jeans.
Detective Constable George Fraser, who is investigating this incident, said: "The victim has been left very distressed by this incident and found the whole experience terrifying. I'm very keen to hear from anyone who has any information about the incident or the offenders.
"If you were in the Gleneagles Avenue or Troon Way area at the time of this incident and saw the man get into the vehicle, we would like to hear from you.
"If you have any information whatsoever regarding this incident please get in touch as even the smallest details can be vital to an enquiry."
