Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of indecent exposure at Aylestone playing fields on Braunstone Lane East.

The incident happened at around 11am on Thursday May 15, 2008, when a woman was walking her dogs along the path towards Canal Street car park and became aware of a man cycling towards her.

As the cyclist neared the victim, he indecently exposed himself to her before riding off onto the fields.

He is described as white, of slim build, between 20 and 30-years-old and had a pale complexion. He was wearing a dark jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms. He was also wearing a beige bandana with black stripes and dark large sunglasses.

PC Hamir Godhania, who is investigating this incident, said: "This incident was obviously quite upsetting for the woman and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

"Can you recall seeing a man matching this description in the area or perhaps you were approached by the man committing the same offence? If so, please get in touch."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2206 Hamir Godhania at Welford Road LPU on Leicester (0116) 222 2222 and follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 2206.
