bike

A pupil from Kegworth Primary School has won a bike as part of Leicestershire County Council’s ‘Bike Week’ celebrations.

Joanna Chung, aged 10, was chosen by her school from all the children who cycled to school during last week's Bike Week.

The prize – a new bike valued at up to £150, was provided courtesy of motorway service area provider ‘Moto’ and supplied by ‘Just Bikes’ cycle shop in Ashby.

Joanna will receive the new bike in a special presentation at Kegworth School on Tuesday (1st July).

Nicholas Rushton, Deputy Leader of the County Council with responsibility for Highways and Transportation, commented: “We are pleased that the community in and around Kegworth have pulled together in support of Bike Week.

"We are most grateful to Moto for their generous contribution and we welcome their community involvement.”

Matthew Stringfellow, General Manager at Donington Park Moto Service area, said: "Moto is delighted to be supporting Leicestershire County Council and Bike Week.

"Kegworth Primary School is Moto’s adopted school and we are very keen to be involved in the local events that they participate in.“
