Officers from Hinckley local policing unit are appealing for public help after two digital cameras were recovered from the Earl Shilton area.
Following a routine stop check in Barwell on Saturday April 19 an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing and supplying Class C drugs.
A search was conducted at his home address in Earl Shilton and two silver Pentax Optio E20 digital cameras were recovered.
A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were also arrested from the address on suspicion of drugs offences. All three have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
PC Adrian McCaffrey is investigating the incident, he said: "We believe the cameras may have been stolen and we would urge anyone who has had a similar camera stolen to contact us. Potential owners must be able to provide proof of ownership."
Anyone who believes that the cameras may belong to them is asked to contact PC 1909 McCaffrey on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1909. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
