Residents in Burbage are being given a chance to discuss local policing priorities with police officers, Police Authority members and local agencies.

A public consultation event is being held at Burbage Millennium Hall on Britannia Road at 7pm on Monday, April 28, 2008.

The event will give people living and working in Burbage a chance to speak to officers about policing and issues in their neighbourhood. It is an opportunity for residents to tell officers what they want from the police and for the police to talk to residents about the work they're doing to fight crime.

Inspector Martyn Ball, Commander of Hinckley and Bosworth local policing unit, said; "Everyone is welcome to come along on the 28th and let us know what concerns they have about their area.

"We would like to hear from local people so that we can let them know what we are doing in their neighbourhood to address their concerns.

"Myself, members of the Burbage local policing team, Councillor Sherwin and Councillor Bill both members of Leicestershire Police Authority will also be present on the night.

"We want to reach all areas of the community and would encourage as many people as possible to come along."
