Police are appealing for information after a burglary on Westcotes Drive in Leicester.
The incident happened between 9.30pm on Monday April 7 and 7.15am on Tuesday April 8, 2008 when thieves broke into a garage at a house in Leicester and made a search before stealing a number of items.
These include a DMR custom downhill mountain bike, a Scott suspension mountain bike, a set of Wilson golf clubs and bag and a number of snowboarding equipment including a Sims Custom snowboard, two jackets, trousers and ski goggles.
PC Gemma Stevens, who is investigating this incident, said: "We're appealing for anyone who may have any information about the burglary or remembers any suspicious activity in the area between the hours of 9.30pm on Monday April 7 and 7.15am on Tuesday April 8, to get in touch.
"Due to the size and number of items taken, the thieves may have required a vehicle to transport the goods away. Did you see a vehicle being loaded between these times with similar items?
"We would also be very interested to hear from any businesses that deal in bikes or skiing equipment, if they are approached by anyone selling items that match these descriptions."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 4457 Gemma Stevens on (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 4457. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
*Some mobile phone networks may charge for this call.
