New work starting this week:
- Checketts Road: gas main works. Off peak temporary signals in use from Monday (7th).
- Sutherland Street: procession from Sutherland Street mosque to central mosque on Conduit Street. Roads closed for a short time on St Peters Road, East Park Road, St Saviours Road, Harlington Road, Melbourne Road, Berners Street, Maidstone Road and Sparkenhoe Street, as procession passes on Sunday (6th) only.
- Highfields Street: emergency carriageway repair works. Road closed at junction with London Road from Monday (7th).
- Coleman Road: kerbing works. Off peak temporary signals in use near Robinson Road junction
On-going work:
- Welford Road: traffic signals renewal works. Off peak lane restrictions in use near Howard Road junction.
- Loseby Lane: carriageway and footway resurfacing works. Road closed between Silver Street and St Martins.
- Evington Lane: water main works. Road closed either side of Stoughton Drive and 24 hour temporary signals on Stoughton Drive at junction with Evington Lane. Diversions in place.
- Portsmouth Road: footway works. Reverse of existing one-way system with traffic running from Loughborough Road towards Melton Road. Diversions in place.
- Marfitt Street: footway works. Road one-way from Harrison Road to Melton Road. Diversions in place.
- Checketts Road: footway works. Road one-way from Melton Road to Loughborough. Diversions in place.
- Great Arler Road: installation of new parking bays. Road closed at junction with Welford Road and Sutton Road. Diversions in place.
- Keightley Road: verge hardening works. Road closed between Kemp Road and Towle Road.
- Glenborne Road: carriageway repair works. Road closed between Stonesby Avenue and Gloucester Crescent. Diversions in place.
- Granby Street: city centre improvement works. Road closed between Bishop Street and Halford Street, with various changes to restrictions in the area. Diversions in place.
- East Park Road: water main works. Closures and restrictions as required in the St Stephens area.
- Gipsy Lane: water main works. Various minor road closures as required in the area.
- Bath Lane: carriageway works. Road closed between Welles Street and St Augustines Road.
- Upperton Road: rebuilding viaduct works. Lane closures and restrictions on and around Upperton Road and Swan Bridge, as required.
- Oxford Street: major junction improvement works. Various restrictions including on Newarke Street, Southgates Underpass and in The Magazine area.
- Yarmouth Street: Thames Tower refurbishment works. Various restrictions as required, including on Thames Street and Navigation Street.
- Shires development: work at Freeschool Lane and Causeway Lane. Road closures as required on Freeschool Lane, Long Lane, Highcross Street and Shires Lane; and from Causeway Lane, one-way towards Vaughan Way from East Bond Street, and East Bond Street towards Causeway Lane. Diversions in place.
Please note that emergency situations may require work schedules to be changed at short notice.
