How to Train Your Mastiff
How to Train Your Mastiff
By Jason Richie
Mastiff dogs are wonderful creatures and are very great to have as company. But sometimes you want you're mastiff to be active, and training him is something that can help. Below I will show you how to treat a dog, and when you should be giving it rewards, and when you should discourage you're mastiff.
Training your mastiff can be frustrating at times, just remember to stay calm, and take a break if needed. Always provide positive energy for you're mastiff, never hit, punch, kick, or scream at you're mastiff. This will give you the opposite effect, and possible a broken toe!
Classical Conditioning -
Some time ago in biology class I learned about classical conditioning. Classical conditioning is where you give a good response to a dog when he does something good, or a bad response when he does something bad. For example a scientists once rang a bell for his dog, and with that bell he held a piece of meat, the dog would come and it's mouth would begin to water. He did this over several months, eventually he could ring the bell, the dog would come and it's mouth would begin to water. The only thing was, there was no meat anymore. The scientist proved that if you do something enough, the dog will become used to it, and will continue to do the same thing he has done over and over.
You can use classical conditioning with your mastiff. Every time they do something good, hand them a treat. Do this over and over in till he does good things without you having to treat him.
Things like this will lead your mastiff to being easily trained, and you being satisfied with the results.

Mastiff Training Importance
Mastiff Training Importance
By Tara Connors
Mastiff training is very important I think anyone that owns one of these majestic beauties will agree. I know that if your dog ends up being anything like mine in size that alone will be intimidating as the owner of the dog, but if they are not trained it becomes even harder to handle them. Here are three great reasons why you are going to want to provide this opportunity for your dog.
The first reason as to why you will want to provide this fun activity for your Mastiff is because of the size that your small bundle of joy will end up being. You have to remember that because of this large size growth you will want to make sure they are trained and listen to you very well because they will be strong enough to drag you.
The second reason for this task needing to be accomplished is because the bite that they have is very strong and obviously you are not going to want to have your dog running around biting anyone or anything. With a great training they will realize when they should bite and when they should not bite at objects or people. This is a very important reason to have them trained.
The third reason which you might not even think about, but if you have a show quality dog and want to show him they need to have training. This reason is one that you will want to address for sure if you are planning on showing your Mastiff even if it is at your local fair.
While Mastiff training is very important you will want to make sure that you do get your Mastiff trained. If you are trying to solve some of your mastiff behaviors problems you will find a great training program here at helpmymastiffbehavior.info. Just remember that the sheer size of your Mastiff alone is a great reason to train him and that his bite will be very powerful is another great reason so he will not bite everyone.
Tara currently owns one English Mastiff who is a giant baby. He is a very loving and caring dog for her children and does wonders in helping keep the children in the yard when they are outside playing. He is so well trained that he even listens to the children when they are around him. You can find a solution to help your mastiffs behavior at helpmymastiffbehavior.info.

Mastiff Training Can Be Hard Or Not
Mastiff Training Can Be Hard Or Not
By Tara Connors
Mastiff training can be a challenge depending on how lazy your puppy is. I know that for me training my Mastiff was a combination of challenging to not challenging at all. Now this was for a variety of reasons and I thought I would share one reason why the education for him was a challenge, but then one reason why I did not have any problems providing him with some quality education.
The first problem that you can have while attempting to educate your dog is that they can be a very stubborn animal. I know that from experience with my own dog that I would be walking along with him and he would see something then decide he wanted to go that way after what he saw. The problem with that is when you are trying to educate your dog to listen to you they have to go the direct you want them to not the direction that they feel is good to go in. This habit of the Mastiff can be the problematic in that the dog will want to do what he wants almost all the time and not what you wand him to.
The second problem is that your dog could prove to be easy is because of the laid back nature of your puppy. I know that other than mine wanting to do his own thing it was quite frequently easy to contain him because he would just lay down and go to sleep while in training. Which kind of got annoying because he wouldn't want to do any of the training while he was sleeping. So that can be a positive though because you are able to pay attention to what the trainer is trying to tell you and your dog without having to worry about him chewing anything up.
While training your Mastiff can be a little difficult for some people it can also be very easy to do as well. If you want to find out how to train your Mastiff be sure to visit helpmymastiffbehavior.info. If you want some great tips on what you can do you will want to visit Mastiff training tips.
