Follow these simple and easy to follow tips when teaching your pet where it needs to go:

2. Praise him effusively and give him treats. It is crucial to do this while he is doing it and immediately after
3. Keep a close eye on him. If you see him sniffing and acting like he needs to go, take him to the paper immediately. With time, he will associate the spot with the place that he needs to go whenever he needs to take care of business.
You can repeat the above steps with any situation, or area that you want your pup to go. If it is outside, then always take him to the same spot immediately after eating or drinking.

Owning a dog is a great feeling. They give us unconditional love and keep us company for many years. They are simply a part of our family. But sometimes we need to learn how to stop a dog from barking. Doing this is very simple:
1. Never give him or her any attention when the barking begins. Asses the situation and if the reason for barking is correct, then praise him and give him a treat. If there is no reason, then avoid yelling at him or punishing. This only teaches your dog that by barking, he gets your attention.2. If he keeps barking incessantly, then grab him by the collar and the muzzle and tell him to stop. Keep holding him until your dog stops trying to escape. Wait a few more seconds and then, calmly, praise him for being quiet. He needs to see you as the leader of the pack and than such behavior is not accepted by you. Dogs need to see you as the leader, otherwise they will become the leader. It is in their nature.3. Keep him entertained. Dogs bark because they are bored or anxious. Take him out at least 30 minutes twice a day. Allow him to socialize with other dogs and to run freely and get all the excitement out of his system.
Remember that he will bark because that is how he communicates with the world. Barking comes to dogs as naturally as speaking does to humans. All you need to do is teach him what is appropriate and that is how to stop a dog from barking.
