The Rottweiler is black with beautiful tan markings on the muzzle, cheeks, chest, eyebrows, and legs. The markings are typically clearly defined. There should not be any white or straw colored markings on the dog. An unusual coloring could indicate that the puppy may be a mixed breed.

Next to socialization start training early. Start teaching your pup to sit, down, stand, stay, heel and come. The most important activities are playing, eating, sleeping and social contact between you and your dog. Control the games, take charge of the sleeping areas, put your Rottweiler on a feeding schedule and don't let your dog demand your attention. Just like children Rottweiler puppies enjoy having a routine and thrive when they are given lots of training, lots of exercise, and a solid routine.
Rottweiler dogs often gravitate naturally towards children. It's important to socialize Rottweiler puppies around children and to always supervise a Rottweiler that is around children because Rottweilers are very large dogs and could injure a child without meaning to. Rottweiler
Rottweilers are an intelligent and hardy dog breed. They are very strong working dogs. With black and tan markings, Rottweilers have a powerful appearance and play a number of roles in the working dog society. Originally bred as a herd dog, their intelligence and eagerness to work has seen them through fill other work roles: guide dogs for the blind, guard dogs, police dogs and search and rescue dogs. Rottweilers are highly trainable, but require strict discipline to socialize properly. Doberman Pinschers tend to be the first breed people think of when guard dogs come to mind. This is due to popular media portrayals. And truth be told, Doberman Pinschers have all the desirable characteristics of guard dogs: loyalty, athleticism, intelligence, strength and fearlessness. Typically black with tan markings, although some Dobermans can be brown, this dog breed is a medium size dog that is highly trainable. Dobermans' ears are usually cropped at 7 to 9 weeks of age. This is what makes their ears point up, although in their natural state, Doberman ears flop down like other dog breeds. This is done to prevent ear infections and diseases.
These 3 breeds of dogs are all well-suited to go through guard dog training and be successful. They possess the characteristics of guard dogs: loyalty, strength, loyalty and obedience. Rottweilers, part of the Working Group, are a large, athletic, and muscular breed. They are happiest when exercised regularly and loved to be challenged both physically and psychologically. Carting is a canine sport at which Rottweilers excel around the world.
If you've never heard of carting, that doesn't mean you and your Rottweiler can't learn the sport. Carting is both a sport and a utility, and is pretty self-explanatory. A rickshaw-type cart is hitched to a dog and in work, used to carry supplies. In sport, the dogs will race. Dryland Mushing is a type of race, but the more common version of sport carting is Sulky Driving. A "sulky" is the name of the cart the dog pulls, which carries the owner or driver.
Rottweilers are very strong dogs and love to be challenged, but it is important to not exceed your Rottweiler's ability. Those attempting carting with their pet for the first time should build up their weight resistance slowly, starting with logs or other heavy objects, and gradually build up to the weight of a full person. No dog should ever pull three times its own weight alone; excess weight can cause any number of injuries, such as muscle pulls or ligament tears. Rottweilers are determined dogs and will try to pull whether they can handle the load or not; it is the owner's responsibility to make sure their pet is only working with what he or she can handle.

Working with your Rottie is a fantastic way to have fun and be productive at the same time, but responsible owners need to take caution and make sure their dog is not overworked or carrying loads that are heavy enough to cause injury.
